Available as a van or wagon, the front-wheel drive Transit Connect is powered by a proven 136-hp 2.0-liter Duratec four-cylinder engine, matched with a four-speed automatic transmission. Sliding rear and split-opening back doors are available with or without windows. The two-seater van is available as an XL or XLT and the five-seater wagon comes in XLT and new XLT Premium trims. Standard features include front and side airbags, anti-lock brakes, front cloth bucket seats, a low maintenance vinyl floor behind the front seats, and full 180¦ opening back doors. XLT trims add power locks, windows, exterior mirrors and remote keyless entry. Roll Stability Control« is optional on vans, standard on wagons. The new XLT Premium Wagon includes vented third-row windows and upgraded audio. Ford Works Solutions include Mobility Packages, Taxi Packages, a CNG/LPG engine Prep package, and In-Dash Computer and interior shelving options.
